Southeast Fire Protection District was notified that effective March 9, 2010 the district achieved a Class Eight Rating. This improvement in rating will save homeowners up to 40% on home insurance premiums. Homeowners in the district should contact their insurance agent in order to realize savings. Additional information about this improvement and planned fire protection improvements in Lamar County will be outlined at the Lamar County Board of Supervisors meeting March 18, 2010 beginning at 9:00 am. Attached is the notification letter from the Mississippi Rating Bureau and a map of the district.
