What Does The Information Technology (IT) Department Do? The IT Department supports all technology related products and services for all departments within Lamar County. A 24/7/365 help desk is maintained to ensure that all entities are operational. From the 911 Dispatch Department to the Tax Office, the IT Department supports file servers, telephone systems, desktop and laptop end-user operations, and broadband wireless within the county.
