Planning Commission

The Planning Commission serves as a hearing body which considers the petitions of proposed matters within the zoned area of Lamar County. The Planning Commission decisions act as a recommendation to the Board of Supervisor's which will have the final decision on all matters. Generally the Planning Commission meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month unless there are no petitions filled with the Planning Department. All files related to matters before the Commission area held and open to public viewing at the Planning Department offices.
